Radial SVG version

Description

I'm offering everyone a chance to see the codes I used to create me latest deviation. It is a simple radial repeat design that only requires that you have a browser that can render vector graphics (i.e.: Firefox 1.5 Beta 2 on up) otherwise you can look at these codes in the vi editor or Wordpad. I wouldn't recommend using Notepad to view these codes because UNIX-based systems do not use the backslash-r character when ever a new line (backslash-n) occurs.

Print these codes out and use them as reference!

For this example, the elliptical arc attribute was used. SVG has an ellipse object, but I like to use the path object just because in Photoshop, Illustrator, and the GIMP, the pen tool can create polygons, arcs, lines, circles and ellipses (which are basically a string of elliptical arc commands), and Bezier curves.

Bezier curves are beautiful, but they can be a pain in the but to draw using a Photoshop, Illustrator, or the GIMP. The advantage of SVG is that you can experiement and not worry about having to do things over and over until everything is right. You can use a text editor to change a few numbers to narrow down to the precise numbers that you see fit.

AutoCad does the same thing, but in three dimmensition. In which eventually I'll create a few hacks to make SVG render 3D models, however project them onto the 2D surface that is the screen. Holovision ( [link] ) is a few years away and that is pending if people don't do something stupid like allow the patent office to sell there idea to some rich jerk who will keep the idea to himself. (The oil industry does the same thing with alternative energy ideas, if you haven't figured it out by now.)

Anyway, a PNG version will be loaded shortly.
